A blogger mom decided to test our language immersion child care service: Mômji-Bilingue. Find out how the meeting went!
Christine is the mother of two children affectionately nicknamed Ticoeur (6 years old) and Titpuce (3 years old). Passionate about travel, she creates her blog in 2009 and shares since her passion with her readers. She currently has 70 family trips and recounts her wanderings through her 750 articles illustrated with photos and videos.
To her, learning English was an adventure during her stays in English-speaking countries. But for children, the best way to learn a foreign language is to listen and practice as regularly as possible with someone whose mother tongue is English!
This month Maman Voyage tested our Mômji-Bilingue foreign language babysitting service for 2 hours to form an opinion.
For this language immersion experience, we selected Liberty, a young Australian student, who went to Mom Travel's home after school.
When she arrived, she got to know the children. Then she started playing with the kids at their favorite board games. Despite the English language, the eldest understood everything that Liberty said to him and he had no problem answering the babysitter. Conversely, the youngest was more shy, had a little more trouble understanding, and answered in French. Fortunately, Liberty is bilingual in English & French. She was able to rephrase what she did not understand in another way.
They all played the game of 7 families, puzzles, Mille Borne, ... The two hours went by very quickly and Liberty had to leave the two teams, delighted with their experience but disappointed that it was not not stay longer.
