Who is Jeannine Manuel?
Jeannine Manuel is the founder of this school. During the Second World War, she was very committed to the resistance, and being convinced that the ignorance of Human was at the origin of the conflict, she decided to create her bilingual school to promote international understanding.
The goal of Jeannine Manuel was to offer a unique teaching by active and dynamic methods, allowing young children to open up to the world.

Bilingualism, the key to openness to the world
Since its creation, the school has been thinking about the mechanisms of learning a foreign language for young children. bilingualism being defined as the ability to express oneself, in both French and English, both orally and writing with the same subtlety, it requires a rigorous progression in terms of vocabulary and structures. It therefore requires early learning and total cultural immersion based on three fundamental principles: immersion in language, play and success.
Language learning therefore involves reading and writing, to which the Jeannine Manuel School places a great importance. Indeed, learning to read starts in the middle section for French and from CP for English. In terms of writing, students work every day to produce French-language writing at CP and in English as soon as the language is learned for the child.
Bilingualism is good, but what about trilingualism? Indeed, from the second grade, Chinese is taught about half an hour a day and if your child goes to secondary school in the same school, he is taught 3 hours a week! This allows children to open up to Asia and have the opportunity to study or even work in China in the future!
