With an Italian background, Alexandra, 24 years old, is from Ottawa, Canada. She moved to Paris ten months ago and has been working with Mômji since September 2014.
She is fluent in English, which is her mother tongue, but also speaks French and Italian. Currently, she is adding German to her already long list of languages. She studies at Université Paris VIII and trains as a puppeteer.
She teaches English to 11 children and babysits a 4-year-old boy. This represents a total of 6 families spread all over Paris.
The things she loves about her job is feeling children's positive energy. She enjoys inventing games that encourage children to use English vocabulary and motivate them to learn. What makes it also rewarding is when they ask for more at the end of the lesson when they lose track of time. "This is such a compliment!"
Her advice to new Language Ambassadors, who have just joined the team is : "Do not hesitate to approach those with a bit more experience for tips on how to deal with difficult kids, or get ideas for new activities, games and resources."
