About the Bilingual Active School?
EAB was founded in 1954, so their schools are part of the first bilingual courses in France. Accredited and renowned for more than 60 years for their original teaching methods, private bilingual EAB schools welcome nearly 3000 students from more than 70 nationalities. She is particularly recognized for her academic excellence (100% success in the bac with 84% of mentions), her active pedagogy and her educational principles based on kindness and requirement.
The educational project of EAB (Active Bilingual School):
The educational project of the EAB is based on 3 fundamental principles:
1- Start learning English from the small kindergarten section: since its creation in 1954, the EAB has specialized in the early teaching of English from the age of 3 years. The method of learning English is based on three very important prerequisites:
-A teaching provided by skill groups
-Native speaker teachers graduated in education
-Small manpower to promote student learning
2- Provide students with an international and multilingual environment: As part of UNESCO, EAB strives to ensure cultural and linguistic diversity within their schools, whether it be teaching teams or students. This includes reduced immersion classes, allowing students to start learning Spanish or Chinese at the primary level.
3- Put the child at the heart of learning: This is possible thanks to a personalized education tailored to the needs of each student. For example, you will find classes taught by skill groups.
The 3 courses of the EAB (School Active Bilingual):
You will be able to find 3 different curriculum within the EAB:
1- The bilingual curriculum under contract: this is an official French curriculum enriched with English lessons, from kindergarten to high school. The children will therefore follow the National Education programs while providing daily instruction in English from the small section of kindergarten, for a proportion of about 25% of courses.
2- The 50/50 curriculum: This is a bilingual education that respects the programs of the National Education, dispensed from the small section of kindergarten to CM2. The students will then follow the official programs of the National Education with as many courses in French as in English (50/50) with native speaker teachers in each language.
3- The English curriculum: This is a 75% English course taught in an international school in Paris in the 15th arrondissement, from the small section of kindergarten to high school. Children can enter the curriculum at any time of the year, even if they do not master English or French and the goal is to bring them to success (100% IB rate)
